Winning project of the call Next Things 2012. By Laura Maliverni and Lilia Villafuerte
Mapocci, an interactive toy designed to promote communication and emotional education of children between 3 and 7 years, has been selected as the winning project of the call Next Things 2012, jointly sponsored by LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial and Telefónica I + D, located in Barcelona.
The aim of this call was the selection of a project linking art and technology, unleashing the enormous potential of the mixture of creativity and vision of artists with powerful Internet technologies and hardware things open.
The proposal by multimedia artists Laura Malinverni and Lilia Villafuerte seeks to provide new forms of distance communication, capable of generatenetworks of empathy between children from different places.
