LABteatro. Women Abandoned in an Art Centre
Teatro de la Laboral and LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial continue developing a joint programme consisting of a monthly season of three solo shows sharing a common reflection on the body and working with the interdisciplinarity of new contemporary proposals and vernaculars.
The new season is called “Mujeres Abandonadas en un Centro de Arte” [Women Abandoned in an Art Centre] and is programmed for November and December 2008, January and February 2009.
LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial shares with Teatro de la Laboral the common goal of publicising new forms of artistic expression and creation. Both institutions, located in the so-called City of Culture housed in the former Universidad Laboral, a vocational training centre in the city of Gijon, firmly believe in collaboration with other institutions and in promoting interrelation between various disciplines as a key element in their mission to favour a transversality critical for present-day art.
